Our Stance

Garment architecture, not novelty

We begin with the silhouette, weigh its historical presence, and choose every material for how it will hold, move, and endure under the lights.

Studio Origins

Pattern-making at the center

Apparel Design Lab grew from years of pattern cutting and fitting work. We treat each costume as a tailored garment first and a theatrical object second, drafting bodices, sleeves, and panels with the same rigor used in formal tailoring.

We publish our method openly. Every guide lays out materials, pattern logic, and construction order so independent makers can study the work, adapt it, and build it themselves without guesswork.

The Workshop

A working studio, built for construction

Our cutting table, fitting stands, and metalworking benches sit at the heart of the practice. Patterns are drafted flat, muslins are fitted on the form, and hardware is shaped by hand before anything reaches the finished look.

Each tool earns its place by supporting a clear step in the making process, from precise marking to durable seams and finished detail.
